As She Crumbled

I watched the world crumble.
I watched it spin and whirl.
I watched it erupt and hurl.
I saw it.

No one else did though.
No one saw it but me.
I alone saw the tragedies it caused,
The lives lost, and the fires ignited.

I watched the world crumble.
I watched her break into chaos.
And still no one watched or listened.
And I alone felt her pain...her anguish.

She called to me
and I called back.
She screamed to me,
And I screamed back.

I watched the world crumble.
I watched as her trees toppled,
and her creatures perished.
And yet still I was the only witness.

She cried to me
and I cried back.
She begged for help,
and I begged back.

I watched the world crumble.
I watched alone,
I watched in pain.
I watched.

No one saw her tears,
no one saw her fears.
No one saw my fears,
no one saw my tears

The world is gone,
her will had faded.
I am gone,
My will has faded.

And still no one sees...
