Mis-Education

From birth my education started
Learning to breath, to how many times
I should take a blink a minute
Learning was so natural to me

As I grow up,
I learned that educational process
Wouldn’t always be the same
School system trying to recover
From the decaying support disease

Trying to figure out
How it’s expected for a
Person to gain wisdom
When the wise person
Is being taken away

Trying to figure out
How can we teach growth
When the resources that are needed
Is being taken away

Trying to figure out
How to expand our horizon
When the programs that are
Sparking other parts of our brain
Is being taken away

Trying to figure out
If the youth are our future
How will they be able
To create a brighter future
If their opportunity
Is being taken away

What are we really teaching our people?

Even though we say that education
Is the most important thing to a person,
We will cause more pain and suffering
Because it’s not a priority to make sure
Everyone has a proper education.

It’s not like NOT having an education
Won’t have a domino effect on the world
But hey, I’m just a
Mis-Educated guy
