Technology Blow Up

Do you all know that one saying?
The one that says we should live like we're dying?
Instead, why don't we live like we're never going to die?
Expose the truth and don't ever try to tell a lie.

Stop being afraid and chase after what you want.
Stop regretting mistakes and pursue the hunt.
Don't be ashamed of what you did today.
It's secretly everything you wanted in a way.

This doesn't mean go and be a horrible person.
We really don't need this world to worsen.
Stop being selfish, greedy, complicated, and controlling.
The scars on the economy are already showing.

We are constantly trying to make past mistakes better.
Scream loud, shout to the world, or write a letter.
Let the past be the past and move on.
All of those people are already gone.

We don't need to expand anymore.
We don't need this technology galore.
We're doing fine with what we have now.
Working these dumb phones, I barely know how.

Don't we realize they're the same as the last?
We're letting technology grow a little too fast.
Aren't you all tired of doing the same thing?
One thing being different doesn't make it more "bling".

It's too exhausting. We need to take a break and communicate.
Hanging with friends and laughing all day. Yeah, that'd be great.
Instead we sit in the same room texting each other.
Is there a possibility of us getting a little closer?
