From Scary to Merry
Alone in the sky, there was a little boy who
was packing some presents, not many but a few.
He flew away from a tiny cottage,
leaving behind, for a little girl, a small golden locket.
His name was Danny, and he had left through her mirror,
for he had left his present secretly to hear her loud morning cheer.
Off into the night he flew with high speed,
hoping to settle children's Christmas-y greed.
A chill grew and snow began to fall,
covering his town in what seemed a gloomy white fog.
He felt a small anger that grew in his chest;
it seemed fit to burst out under his black and white vest.
"This isn't right," he said with a sigh,
"I wish I wasn't lonely and instead it be Sam and I."
He flew to her house, hoping to find her awake,
but when he poked his head in the window, he found her making a cake.
For once she looked so happy, so alive and free,
he chose not to disturb her in her Christmas time glee.
He followed the streets that were filled with bright lights,
choosing instead to go home rather than wander the sights.
As he sat there alone among his parents' Christmas time decor,
all of a sudden there was a knock at the door.
He rushed to answer it, his heart growing wide,
and there stood his family and Sam and Tucker with his Christmas surprise!
Soon all was well, even Danny was merry,
and this is our poem...with a very happy ending.
