Your shadow veils over me
Concealing all I used to see
Your grasp curls like a vine of thorns
With my scarlet you sedately adorn

You collapse on me like a humiliated wave
I take it all in like always
You break and shatter like glass
I feel your shards and rage fall as you make it last

You pass on your regrets and mistakes
When you're through I stay still like a calm lake
But my sickly eyes stare into my mind
Still unsatisfied I let my metal grind

Paralyzed thoughts all night
Your release put me to such delight
When the light comes back and tries to shine through
That is when I come back for more of you
