Fail

I am not gonna lie nor sugarcoat it,
Because salt can only be sweetened so much before it's no longer the truth,
I attempted to take my life five times already,
This piece isn't about "Oh miserable me!" or other's with my condition,
It's about failure.

Failure is not to be ashamed nor feared.
It should be embraced,
It shapes us,
Changes us, maybe for the better or for the worse.
Does it really matter?

If I never failed,
I would be deeper in the rabbit hole than Alice,
Probably buried in my despair and a little dirt,
I wouldn't be here anymore.

Now that I failed,
I realized to be the master of my own life,
I cannot be the master my own death.
I try to smile a little more,
I look to the future rather than the done,
I am done.

Now, I tell you to fail.
Fail at something.
The more important the better.
You never know when you are past the point of no return.
Unfortunately for many,
We can never go back.
