Epitome of our Souls
Conceded and alone I travel
Sinking further down this road
Joining friends from past affairs
Engaging in this petty mode
But what do you think of what I've become
You've expressed your concern for me
But the same time won't open up
To show the inner workings of epitome
The concern runs both ways
Like water it flows to our open wounds
So open up and confess to me
So I understand and don't presume
I want to pick apart your brain
Like we did just months ago
To ponder and understand
To release our innards and make them flow
Set free this passion that's deep inside
Bringing you down to this dismay
For I will always be your friend
Even if you walked the narrow way
Sinking further down this road
Joining friends from past affairs
Engaging in this petty mode
But what do you think of what I've become
You've expressed your concern for me
But the same time won't open up
To show the inner workings of epitome
The concern runs both ways
Like water it flows to our open wounds
So open up and confess to me
So I understand and don't presume
I want to pick apart your brain
Like we did just months ago
To ponder and understand
To release our innards and make them flow
Set free this passion that's deep inside
Bringing you down to this dismay
For I will always be your friend
Even if you walked the narrow way
