Our Mutual Friend

When our mutual friend comes,
Its time to lose our minds with her
As reality slips away
Into a wonky dreamscape
So familiar – yet so strange
An alternate universe where nothing
Is ever as it seems..
...Or as it once was..

My mind gets s l o w e r
But my thoughts are quick
I am illiterate...breefly.
Pen and paper leave wOnKy SqUiGgLeS
Where poetry should be
Malformed words spew forth from my mind
Like engine oil onto water
Spreading...forming...reforming
Floating, changeable black dots
Only marginally less intelligible
Than my stumbling speech.
WoNkY WoRdS
Which have swerved off the highway from my brain
On their way to my mouth and hit the crash barrier.
"Clumsy girl, cant walk straight! Is she drunk?"
Reactions as predictably rigid as an android's orgasm
(is it even possible to come when she does?)
I cannot persuade you to like her.
Sometimes even I don't like her
But I know, that next time Katie comes,
Ill let her take me again because
She drives me crazy, baby.
