Draw the Night Away
Graphite dust smeared
Into the side of her hand
Little finger knuckle rubbed raw
Oh, but she loves to draw!
Ignoring the dull sting
Of aching and red eyes
Until the curtains betray
The darkness of her room
As the sun peeks in
With gentle glimmers
Of morning sunrise
Into the side of her hand
Little finger knuckle rubbed raw
Oh, but she loves to draw!
Ignoring the dull sting
Of aching and red eyes
Until the curtains betray
The darkness of her room
As the sun peeks in
With gentle glimmers
Of morning sunrise
