Just Before The Dawn
Didn't wanna see you, shade in the night
Wraith by the side of morning
Just right before dawn
Where the horizon breaks into a new day
Hovering above me
It still yesterday
Euphoricly induced
Eyes heavy, falling to the night
fading
Broken promises
Shattered hopes
Vertiginous, consumed by the haze
Infection not just a phase
Eyes occlude
Wane like the moon
Into the night
Woke me up for no good reason
Just so you can have me witness you watching me
You know the funny thing is that
I felt you in my faded dream
Obfuscate, but I knew you were there
Trying to unlock the latch to my door
Some how you managed to infiltrate my being
Whispering into my ear like thunder
Warm sensation creeping all over
Theses old bones of mine
Can't take you much longer
Marrow, vitality of mortality
Thick like mud pie
Spirit, dry season
Kidneys ache
River deprived of water
Bed of stones depleted from moisture
Replenish my soul
