I was just with you
I was just with you;
Time did its "wait for no one" thing.
What? The moon weren't the sun to bring?
So here comes more rambling...
I can see you faltering at your edges
Your intoxicated self holds none of your secrets
That a guarded tongue may...
Please let go and unashamedly stay...
I feel overwhelmed by you, who you are
Being unreservedly yourself with me...
Everything I am you steal,
Hesitantly, I thought I’d never feel so real.
We’ve waited so long to find the other
How lucky can one lifetime be?
That we’re gambling people, nothing to lose
Quietly by ourselves, outcomes we muse.
I guess at the end of the day
I hope with every piece I send you,
Brings light and your doubts dismiss...
Being together, I wouldn’t dare miss out on this.
“It is a risk to love.
What if it doesn’t work out?
Ah, but what if it does.”
