Rodeo Monkey

She painted me a picture in black and white,
then held up a mirror in broad daylight.
It was no crocodile I saw in denial,
It's the Rodeo Monkey riding me
in the trials

He's the Rodeo Monkey, he sure can ride,
He's riding me hard cause he knows I'm fried
I can't shake him off he's holding on fast
I've got a monkey on my back and my old lady on my ass

I thought I was taking everything in stride
It felt like I was on a real cool ride
I had some scooby snacks and whiskey to drink
Now the Rodeo Monkey holds my head in the sink

If you think you can just play for free
stop for a minute, take some advise from me
When you want to take a ride on the ole buzz train
Be ready to pay the Rodeo Monkey for bringing the pain
