Razors And Butterflies
I whisper taunted secrets to butterflies,
because secretly they know how I feel
For they too have had their wings
torn into pieces by barbed wire fences
which seperate darkened woods
from hopeful meadows.
I do it to release an everlasting pain,
I do it in hope that it will set me free,
and one day if you carefully
observe a damaged butterfly
You'll start to gain an understanding
of what its like to be me.
because secretly they know how I feel
For they too have had their wings
torn into pieces by barbed wire fences
which seperate darkened woods
from hopeful meadows.
I do it to release an everlasting pain,
I do it in hope that it will set me free,
and one day if you carefully
observe a damaged butterfly
You'll start to gain an understanding
of what its like to be me.
