Mirrors and Rivers
I can tell it from your eyes; your mouths only speak of empty promises and hollow truths
Our future seems so bleak and these vultures just keep preying on the weak
This ship is full of holes
We are so blind to everything we need
I'm falling apart, it's nothing new
The only difference from before is that
I'm falling apart faster than I can pick up the pieces
Falling apart faster than I can pick up the pieces
Do we even know what we're running from?
The smell of withering hearts forever lingers in the air
Alone again; cold and desolate; crumbled down on the ground
Just break my bones and tell me you're sorry
I know those endings makes you grin, you parasite
I need to detach myself from the world; 'cause I know that:
I am what's tearing me apart - I've let myself become like this
Suffering became the truth
With eyes closed we all walk along
Knowing that at any moment we might fall
I don't have to say it twice:
The world is not what it seems
What will you do when
Everything you love descends like a leaf from a tree?
It feels as if light was not meant to reach this blackened heart
Light was not meant to reach this blackened heart
I don't deserve, I don't deserve anything
Light was not meant to reach this blackened heart
Here I am, on my knees
We see ourselves
In the mirrors, in your eyes
We always drown
In the rivers, of your lies
