the RIDER
In the never I wander to and fro restless
Filled with desire unsatified, an ache of dark passion
I tried to hide the myth within the legend
Finding only the light of Orion to lead me home
The smoke from the dying star filled my mind
The echoes of distant memories surround this heart
Screaming with the agony of remembered loss
I begin to run down the sand by the lost sea
Hoping against hope that the mystery is not your leaving
That the songs the magi sang were not about you
The wind whips into a storm of legions
The night sky is obliterated and removed
I can only hear my heart beating and taste the bile of fear
One shriek of one horse and I see a rider in the distance
I hear the thunder of the stallions hooves
Suddenly my world is filled with the fragrance of myrhh
Golden sunlight streams from your eyes and I am home
