I'd rather have a Dragon

Shining armor
handsome smile,
were just a few
of his wiles.

Promises of love
riches that last,
oh how it all
faded so fast.

His large spacious manor
now a dungeon to me,
Tears drench the pillow
even as I sleep.

The day brings comfort
while he is away,
Give me the courage
just to escape.

Seduced by false charm
and a handsome face,
has lead me here
to this despairing place.

The fairytale is wrong
the Knight an imposter,
Id quickly trade this Knight
for a dragon or a monster.
