2 years.

I see love has
just got home
I sit at the window,
Simply dreading your arrival.

You say work's been hard today
I am apparently to blame
Let the routine begin.
____________

Throw me down
Slap me around
Beat till I've had enough.

Grasp my throat
Till I pass out
How else will I ever learn-
Putrid insults spew from your lips,

As emotions unravel and
I inwardly crumble to oblivion
Getting stuck with each tear I shed.

Let screaming commence
Music to your ears
Your well planned scheme prevails.

I lay on the floor, gaping with terror,
hurt and alone.
As you watch from above me,
my blood dripping off your fingers.
__________

Scars and bruises
Noone ever speaks of
Except behind closed doors.
