a foot in the grave
It's how you finish,
Not how you play the game.
Got my crosses to bare,
To cleanse my soul today.
The pendulum swings,
As time slips away.
Got one foot in this world,
The other in a grave.
The more things change the more they stay the same,.
Traveling down this winding road,
Sometimes a sinner,
Other times a saint.
In between black and white,
Living in the gray.
Got one foot in this world,
The other in a grave.
Throw yourself in the fire,
Pray for baptism by rain.
Thought you had it right,
But karma fueled the flame.
Got one foot in this world,
The other in a grave.
Living and dying are one in the same.
Take a breath, exhale,
Another second slips away.
Living in the moment,
In a precarious way.
Got one foot in this world,
The orher in a grave.
Not how you play the game.
Got my crosses to bare,
To cleanse my soul today.
The pendulum swings,
As time slips away.
Got one foot in this world,
The other in a grave.
The more things change the more they stay the same,.
