Interdependency
Love disturbs me at times with it's possessive nature,
"you complete me. You complete me. I need you.
I need you. You are mine. You are mine,
Forever and ever".
Yes, I know I am detached more than most.
I do not ache to have another soul obsess over me,
As if my love were a drug
Pumping serotonin into their central nervous system.
I am hopelessly romantic, but burdened with realist eyes,
So do not use me to fill the empty void in your heart.
I desire the lovers who over flow with confidence
and completeness.
I admire the whole hearted antagonist
who capture my attention
With their independent behaviors,
Not giving any fucks to what others think.
Maybe this is why I enjoy cats?

I also tend to enjoy and admire people who have the guts to step out of the herd mentality and who are brave enough to be themselves authentically regardless of what others think.... love this poem!... :) ♡♡♡
