I Wish My Heart Would Walk Away
I put my heart at your feet
Without a blink or so much as a sigh, you turned around and walked away
Your feelings in tact and on to the next
The power of optimism stomped on reality, I should have seen this a mile away
I put my heart at your feet
Without a word or even a gesture, you turned around and walked away
There was a moment when the moon whispered "he's right here but you're all alone"
Once again my emotions are screwed
This is me, the best and the worst of it all
Gentle to your needs, supportive of your creativity
I put my heart at your feet.....the anger in me wants to shove it down your throat
I put my heart at your feet, you turned around and walked away
I wish my love for you would do the same
Without a blink or so much as a sigh, you turned around and walked away
Your feelings in tact and on to the next
The power of optimism stomped on reality, I should have seen this a mile away
I put my heart at your feet
Without a word or even a gesture, you turned around and walked away
There was a moment when the moon whispered "he's right here but you're all alone"
Once again my emotions are screwed
This is me, the best and the worst of it all
Gentle to your needs, supportive of your creativity
I put my heart at your feet.....the anger in me wants to shove it down your throat
I put my heart at your feet, you turned around and walked away
I wish my love for you would do the same
