Another Reason for my Future Ex Wife to Hate Me
People talk about diamonds
As if they are actually worth something.
As if these hoarded rocks carry a greater meaning.
But in all reality they are nothing more
Than expensive novelties.
Literally, shiny pieces of rock
That the earth abundantly creates.
The truth is that the De Beers family monopolized
The diamond industry one hundred years ago,
Commercializing the concept of a wedding ring
(Diamonds are forever).
Hoarding a multitude of rocks,
Which litter African beaches
And caves around the world.
You are made to believe they hold significance,
But they don't.
It's a well marketed scheme
To make you go broke over "love".

I personally prefer rock crystal (more like LOVE really) they are very inexpensive compared to diamonds and are ever so beautiful in their natural or faceted shapes..... :)

Great commentary but it sounds like you'll need to find a woman with the same value system so she won't become your ex ... then you'll have a true gem
