Extinction Nears

Darkness rises over the horizon
Swallows any form of light
People cry in despair and raise their heads in a prayer
But there is no help in sight

Hatred overshadows love
Destroys happiness and hope
People scream in frustration
But no one knows how to cope

Sadness enters when hope dies
Death  becomes imminent
Bodies lay on the green grass
Life becomes imprisonment

Demons arise from underground
Open the gates to hell
Souls try with all their might to run
But hell is where they will dwell

Safety is a thing of the past
Fear runs deep in ones mind
No one can save themselves
For this is the end of humankind.
