I Recognized The Sound

I've heard it many times when nestled with a child in motherhood mode.
But this was different.....I leaned in closer to sponge the feeling that radiated from this sound.
It massaged my lobe and sang rhythms of comfort.
It is a joyous secret that makes me smile in the midst of mayhem.
Oh how I long to rush back to this concert of warm echoes.
Encore! Encore! My inside shout, as I recall the mesmeric beat.

I recognized the sound
I've heard it many times in the backdrop of a suspenseful thriller when clinching the arm of a chair.
But this was different.....The repitition of the chorus was hypnotic.
Fearful of its mystic and all of its granduer, I ran from its trumpet call.
Unbeknownst to me, the melody took hold and now I wander aimlessy like a groupie at Woodstock.....and I want more.
I want more of the soothing patters that called out, I want more of the rapid climax that concluded each stanza.
When I placed my head upon your chest, I recognized the sound..........but this was different, it was your heartbeat.
