To The Girls With The Chola Eyebrows
You my friends
Keep me entertained.
I do not know whether
You are happy or just mean.
And I mean no offense,
But just to be honest
You all kinda remind me
Of my mom in the 90's.
Fierce and tremendously feisty
The way women should be.
PS: Continue keeping them puppies
on point.

I like this poem mainly because I can relate to the penciled in eyebrows. Sometimes I pencil them in very thin, and sometimes I leave them
bare -- a look I happen to like a lot, but for which I get a lot of flak from others.... at some point in history women shaved off their eyebrows in order to create a certain look and to be beautiful (think "mona lisa"and the "girl with the pearl earring") and for a while all the fashion magazines had models with bleached or barely existing eyebrows.
Whoopi Goldberg also comes to mind. When I do pencil them in, I am going more for "Garbo" rather than "Chola". Clearly a matter of taste and style -- mine runs toward the unusual at times..... Guess I had a lot to say about this topic -- Enjoyed the read!
