"It Feels Good"

Thoughts running in blank circles,
but it feels so good to let go.
Good to let go of resentment.
Good to let go of all of those sleepless nights.
Nights I sat up waiting for answers that never came.
Nights of hurt, nights of shame,
Not even mentioning the pain.
Nights of trying to solve puzzles...
Days of trying to connect the dots...
Countless hours that I spent attacking my own broken heart.
    It feels good to let go...
Of tears.
Tears that I cried for years,
And issues of insecurity that provoked all of my fears.
Now it's no more sadness or deep depression.
No more stressing, just progressing.
Letting God fight all of my battles,
while I'm just so thankful for his blessings.
And it feels so good to be free.
And now that I have let all of that go,
It feels so good to be ME.
