Marionette -Play I
Mary:
My joints
are
..dislocated
Cords
intertwined
and wrap
around me
like barbed wire on a prison fence
The scenery bleeds
horror
as your eyes
fill with ideas
But you fail to realize without me, there would be no show
Oh, manipulator how you puppeteer me around and snap my joints and make me swindle to the ground
Maneuvering me around, isolating each body part
Without me, Manipulator, you would not have anything to manipulate. Now would you?
What would you then be called?
Manipulator: Quiet Marionette! You're just a dissembled act
For you, are not Mary!
Mary: But what am I and what are you if I was not?
Manipulator: Quiet Marionette, I'm in control and hold these strings in which allow you to speak!
Mary: Oh manipulator, I thought I did not speak!
Manipulator: Only when I allow of it!
Mary: Oh manipulator, you're just like a man.
Controlling.
Manipulator: I said Quiet Marionette! The play is about to begin!
