From Heaven
Greying skies
amongst God's deep, blue eyes
and his cloud-white beard
you can find me
trying to do right.
And if I do wrong...
you've known this angelic facade
wouldn't last long.
He'll be looking down on me
tomorrow find me dancing 'tween the fiery ice
and I'll be waiting
for the chance
to do right.
The Devil from
Heaven is prancing
without the lights,
smoking his first cigarette.
Opening his lungs
to the world and the others,
opening his fists up to only me.
Greying skies
amongst God's deep, blue eyes
and his cloud-white beard
you can find me
trying to do right
and if I do wrong,
well, I guess you knew
this facade
wouldn't last long...enough.
amongst God's deep, blue eyes
and his cloud-white beard
you can find me
trying to do right.
And if I do wrong...
you've known this angelic facade
wouldn't last long.
He'll be looking down on me
