Silence
As the night grew quieter so did her voice
Pardoned by a thousand pieces of choice
Arise and be judged by her peers
Or lay awake dreaming her fears
Each day more silent than the last
Tongue tediously but indisputably engrossed in a cast
Smiles to go around so she wouldn't need to explain
The unceasing nail biting pain
She hid herself behind a wall of "I'm just tired"
Walking from class to class perfectly wired
A little makeup to hide the fallen tears
But she cant hide from the incriminating mirrors
She whispers help in the dead of night
Clinging to herself in the hopes she'll be alright
Her voice dims out softer than sweet
She drops her head excepting defeat
Never before had she felt so cold
Her masked emotions uncontrolled
She screams but no noise escapes the fold
She could never again be consoled
When did it all fall apart
When did she break this bleeding heart
Why had she let herself become so scarred
She see's herself die as if watching from afar
The pain didn't last interminably long
They mourn her death in an uncomprehensive throng
They actually shed tears and pretend they knew
At least she finally made her ample debut
Pardoned by a thousand pieces of choice
Arise and be judged by her peers
Or lay awake dreaming her fears
Each day more silent than the last
