Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
Repulsive hypocrisy plagues my nation
Force feeds my population with misinformation
Using talking heads on the television station
Fuck off at least until the next election elation
Your parties tear the county apart
Smear campaigns are republican art
When we voted in our president
Our intentions for reform were evident
So why when we try to bring healthcare to all
Is it slapped around caused to stall?
Is it the CEO who’s too busy spending at the mall?
Making money off debtors whose insurance didn’t cover their fall?
They broke their arm now they pay to have their bones reset
Pay for a cast, pay for crutches, and I’m not done yet
Socialized medicine? Of course we want that!
But call us socialists and our brains hit the mat
Is it not enough that ¾ of the country is fat?
Or the division of poverty living with rats?
