My New Addiction

It all started with New Years
I made a resolution to myself
To get into shape

The first week was really tough
For too long, I waited
Years of sitting on my ass, doing nothing

But the burn got addictive
Pushing myself harder each day
Has left me with a sense of accomplishment

I now long for the rush, the sweat
And the jolt of pain that makes me feel alive
I have energy like I haven't felt in a long time

Everyone who ever doubted me
Adds more fuel tothe fire
Making me push just a little harder
