Like A Book

Oftentimes when one buy a book,

the first thing ones notice,

is not the content or the size,

but it is the cover that bring the second look.

Once it is your arms, you hurry to take in home,

to settle down in that  favorite spot,

with something to quench the thirst,

In case it gets too hot.

I guess what I am trying to say,

is it was the look that made me curious,

to see what was inside,

and with every turn of the pages,

makes me look forward to the day.

I want to cherish every moment,

I have to spend with the discovery,

of seeing where it is going,

and to enjoy the hidden treasury.

A book that has substance,

bring something at every turn,

that make you want to drop everything,

and grab your book and run.

Run with it in your arms,

to settle down in that  favorite spot,

with something to quench the thirst,

In case it gets too hot.
