My Winter's Solstice
....caught up in the doldrums of a cold winter's day, morning's light should have been just like this. "Keep it loose, keep it tight"...Amos Lee
Baby it's cold outside
That old hawk blew me right up to the door and
old man winter ushered me inside........
......and I smiled
You bought sweet sunshine
through my window
so I guess I'll stay for a little while
you took my hands inside your hands
to warm them from the cold
Beautiful brown-eyed Cajun woman
your "southern comfort" always takes control
“I am at ease in the arms of a woman
Although now, most of my days I spend alone
Thousand miles, place I was born
When she wakes me, she takes me back home.....”
“Come and sit with me honey-love
in this big, old easy chair”
I felt a bit over dressed for the party
Didn't know what I was 'sposed to wear.....
…..until she peeled back that old familiar soft blanket
and my eyes spied that beautiful brown birthday suit !!
In the fireplace, a roaring fire was burning
guess I'll just snuggle up close and wear mine too.
She kisses me......
.....cooing and wooing each other
like two turtle doves
rubbing, touching, squeezing
sipping sweet coffee, talkin' 'bout making love
No lips have ever tasted so sweet
and I'm lost in those pretty brown eyes
safe and warm, the morning light shines
she lays my hand against the insides of
her tender warm thighs.......
“....don't leave me here out in the cold
don't you know that it's your hand
I wanna hold
as these days fly past and unfold, hey
baby I want you, baby I want you
baby I do
darling I love you, darling I love you
Know that it's true.......”
