Pain Before Sleep
A tear runs down her face
She can't help it
Damn she hates crying, but she can't stop it
Her simple solution is to take out a razor blade
The cool clear metal calms her down a little
Not enough though
Pressing the blade to her skin she feels relief
Pressures of the past few days evaporate
Life is temporarily okay
Soon it sucks again
She takes the blade again
Repeating the steps
Press, wait, and cut down
Her blood flows out of the wound
A feeling of giddiness spreads throughout her
Starting in her arm
Reaching her face, chest, and lungs
A giggle escapes her lips
Soon she is laughing uncontrollably
And a smile spreads on her face
With this she returns the razor
To its hiding spot
And with the pain, a little more than just a memory
She heads off to sleep
With hopes of not waking up, ever again.
She can't help it

Her simple solution is to take out a razor blade
The cool clear metal calms her down a little
