I see this drink, that's not on my list
Just the look of the bottle, its hard to resist
For now I am sober
By the weekend the streak will be over

Is the price right?
Will it taste good on a Saturday night?
Questions swirl in my head
Not very good when you are trying to get to bed

The obsession
Will serve a lesson
In time the body pays the crime
Sick and down to the final dime

Not that I drink everyday
For a while I can stay away
Days, weeks and even a month or six
When life appears too hard, its time to get a fix

One shot often leads to more
5, 10, 15 and 20 plus off to the bed not the floor
Beer is the best
Just to warm up for the rest

Professional binge drinker I am

Food and water devoured like a candy cane
Due to the alcohol my body can barely contain
