Never Truly Alone in Solitude
I scream my mantra into the air
Peel the skin back layer by layer
Nothing underneath except negative spaces
They don't understand, confused faces
Don't ask me why I come here to die
It's the only way I can get myself high
I try to avoid them, but they keep calling
I'm getting so high, I'm afraid of falling
I've been skinned raw and I'm chafed
It's an itch I can't help but scratch
I bathe in all the blood I waste
I try to scrape off the shell I've hatched
I'm growing tired of this
I'm dying more every day
There's not much left to decay
So it's come to this
Death
Be my this?
It's not that easy
Peel the skin back layer by layer
Nothing underneath except negative spaces
They don't understand, confused faces
Don't ask me why I come here to die
It's the only way I can get myself high
I try to avoid them, but they keep calling
I'm getting so high, I'm afraid of falling
I've been skinned raw and I'm chafed
It's an itch I can't help but scratch
I bathe in all the blood I waste
I try to scrape off the shell I've hatched
I'm growing tired of this
I'm dying more every day
There's not much left to decay
So it's come to this
Death
Be my this?
It's not that easy
