The Girl Who Forgot The Bullets

Her eyes filled with pain and anger.
Her heart beats like a drum.
Faster then she can run.
Her cheeks are moist.
Her eyes are a soft blue.
They are filled with tears.
She no longer wants to be here.

Hands are shaking as she digs through her bag.
Pulls out her hand.
A weapon that shines in the light.
She has no time to waste.
So she holds the gun up and puts it into place.

Standing in the woods.
She closes her eyes tightly.
Listening carefully to the sounds of nature.
Trying to catch her breath.
The adrenaline pumping through her veins.
Her hand is shaking.
Making the gun rattle against her head.

She thinks to herself, "what am I doing?"
She opened her eyes.
The Sun shines bright.
But she's still willing to pull that cold trigger.
She knows if she does it will be the end.

She slowly moves her hand on that trigger.
She looks around and "click."
Putting the gun down.
She checks it.
She forgotten the bullets.
A sigh of relief releases from her lungs.
Thank god she forgot the bullets to that gun.
