Chained
My heart, a balloon
Firmly held down by a cord
Will burst with restraint
Thanks to both of you, Poetikmind and Paul S... for your help with the preposition in the last line. I hate them. And love you, dear friends!

Things or feelings which are not restrained will always be there. Tricky thing to pen them! Thank you for your understanding and your wise words!

Ahhh, that's sweet, Paul! Thank you so much for the lovely image! A bunch of colorful balloons invading our poetical space. Let them float!

Fascinating analogy of the balloon that will burst if held back. Think there are a few "devils' around who will try to pop it with a pin!

All the sweet poet devils on DU for example :-)!
There are always devils around to pop your floating dreams. So better not hold them back but let them float! Thanks a lot, JAZZMANOR, for your kind comment!

Unrestrained ...
Thank you for the image you're sharing! All balloons should be released! The sky would be so colorful.

When the fantasy
flies free
it can get hot.
Why not :-)?
Appreciate your wise comment much, Speak! Thank you!

Yes, why? But there are always people
who try to hold you captive ...
like a captive balloon?
I blush and curtsey and like to give
my warm thanks to your kind comment, Poe!
