The Millennium Equals the Church Age
(1)"The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night"
In which the Heavens and the Earth will be destroyed.
Then comes "the New Heaven and New Earth"(2 Peter 3.10-13).
(2)This destruction and the coming of the New Heaven and Earth
Is set for the end of the Millennium(Revelation 21.1).
(3)But "The Day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night" applies
Also at the "sudden destruction" at the Rapture(1 Thess 5.2-3).
The Rapture of the Church occurs at the close of the Church Age.
(4)To summarize, "The Day of the Lord..like a thief"
occurs at both the end of the Church Age and the Millennium.
There is only one "Day of the Lord..like a thief in the night,"
So the conclusion to draw is that the Millennium
And the Church Age are one and the same!
Why is this important?
(1)If the destruction of "Heaven and Earth"
at the end of the Millennium
Is nothing more than "the sudden destruction"
at the end of the Church Age,
This saves the universe from being destroyed!!
For the "sudden destruction" at the end of the Church Age,
At the Rapture,is quite limited.
And it can be linked to "the Man of Sin," aka "The Son of Destruction,"
which can be interpreted as "the Destroyer."
It is his work.
For it is what "reveals" him to be "the Destroyer."
For,"That day [of the Rapture] must wait
til the revealing of..the Destroyer"(2 Thessalonians 2.3).
And what, logically, would "reveal" this "Destroyer"?
It would have to be the acts of mass destruction
that he commits.
So the "sudden destruction" at the Rapture will be man-made acts.
And that same destruction shows up in another Rapture passage:
We read that at the Rapture occurs(Matthew 24.30-31),
at the time that "the stars will fall"(Mt 24.29).
These socalled "stars," would have to be man-made objects.
For "the Man of Sin" will be "revealed" as "The Destroyer,"
meaning that he launches mass destruction of some kind.
My point is that the destruction of "heaven and earth"
In 2 Peter 3.10-13 doesn't mean the whole universe.
Rather only the first heaven will go,only the surface of the Earth.
For nuclear war is what will fulfill 2 Peter 3.10-13!
(2)If the Millenium(Rev 20) equates with the Church Age,
then the main villain presented at the end of the Millennium
should answer to the main villain at the end of the Church Age,
namely the Antichrist,"the Beast."
And just who is the main human villain
at the end of the Millennium?
Gog, ruler of Magog, ie Russia.
So Gog must be the Beast who will take over the world!!
If the Beast rules Western Europe and Gog rules Russia
and both are the Antichrist, how is that possible?
One man must be both "the Beast" and "Gog."
If Russia conquers Western Europe, Gorbachev would rule both places,
making him the Beast but also Gog.
My point is this gives us the identity of the Antichrist!
