Question Everything

You're never there
Always a shadow in the back of my mind
Slowly coming forward before you seclude yourself deeper
You say you care
You say you're always here
But when it comes down to the final moment your love for me is absent
Dispose of my heart if it makes you feel better
You just need to remember that my impression has been made
I worked my way under your skin
I penetrated your mind that you left wide open
You know you need me as much I need you
You know that voice that you hear pounding against your skull?
That's me
I'm the reason you can't sleep at night
I'm the reason that guilt takes over you so quickly
I'm the reason why you now feel so vulnerable
Now pick yourself up
Show to me the layers beneath your skin that hold the person I held so dear
You'll find your way back to me one day
Your heart will become the deepest shade of black without me
But I was never me
I was never anyone
You were never anyone either
You were a figment that my imagination came up
I made you up just so I could hurt myself
The blind spot on my eye was just a scab
I picked at this scab and now I see
Things like existence and love are never really there
They just resemble that of a fairytale like Cinderella or God
Question everything and see what's there and see what we let our hearts fool us into believing
