Dagger Of Life
Life is a dagger, you either hold the handle or get stabbed by the blade
Every lesson learned is a tighter grip on the handle
Every mistake a little more the dagger cuts deeper
The blade sharpens as a warning as your grip loosens
Every unruly thought seeps out from your mind like a river of tears and blood
The temptations overwhelming, just giving in
Consequences seeping in deeper, the pain lasting longer
A deep line severed by a memory, haunted by a voice echoed into the mind
Everyone making a word they cant keep, breaking down one another, thousands of daggers to the heart
Soul deep in lies, the truth never known
A handle of truth over weighed by the blade of lies, tormenting the holder
Six feet deep in a hole surrounded by the words of others, they never realized
A glass tank with you in the straight jacket, all the lies just another drop of water
Why the dagger keeps getting sharper, no one knows
Blaming every one else for their problems, no one looks at the real picture
Take a picture of an accident, yet no one takes the blame
There is always another at fault in the eyes of ones own, seeking the path out of trouble
In the end the dagger will break, taking you down with it
Splintering deeper, a scar growing larger
Like a foggy day on a winter morning, the blade thickens to hide true beauty
Slicing open the thoughts, making them pour out to hurt and break another ones thought
Some teaming up to build a mountain of 'winners' by others falling down, the dagger forms a sword
Tearing others apart one by one, basking in the glory of betrayal
Torment blowing away in the dust of the broken
They say bigger is better, though the bigger the blade, the deeper it sinks in
The harder it is to hold, the faster it travels with the gravity of lies
The stronger you need to be, yet falling behind, losing it all in the end
The heavier it gets, the more you need to prove, yet no one believes the truth after the lies
One moment you are so high in the sky, never looking down
The next moment you are in the ground, never seeing yourself where you thought you would be
A pure life hidden to save the innocence, gone before the flower could bloom
An animal hungry for vengeance, never seeing whats true and kind
Sliced open by the blade of others actions, too deep to be saved
It can be said that the one bringing torment will be caught on the dagger
Never will they hold the handle, cruel life for second chance
Eyes never betray the daggers size, lies camouflaging what should be seen
A truth everyone deserves, yet rare to get, a delicacy no one enjoys
Clear the fog from the winter morning, lighten the blade
No one should get sliced by the blade but oneself
Overwhelmed by the site of a blade over weighed, falling by mere sight
Caught by the sharp edge growing larger, we all fall from it
The end catches us all, for the dagger forms the sword of lies
Every lesson learned is a tighter grip on the handle
Every mistake a little more the dagger cuts deeper
The blade sharpens as a warning as your grip loosens
Every unruly thought seeps out from your mind like a river of tears and blood
