oblivion

when this all began
she had no idea how far
she could fall into the
depths of her own oblivion

it seems bottomless
the darkest place she has
ever seen
no one can understand
where she has been

she sees herself falling
tears streaming
before her as the walls
just slip away
leaving her nothing
to grasp hold of

like diving from a cliff side
the rocks jutting out so near
hoping you don't hit
them cause it all could end
right here

yet she just keeps
falling deeper and deeper
seems to be no ending
no one to pull her back
cause they can't see
what is happening
they don't know where
she's been
she just keeps slipping
away into her own oblivion
