Where Heaven Fades and Hell's Flares Still
Heaven lurks in the corner of a sleeping child's smile
a mother, feeling her baby kick for the very first time
a father, given a hero's welcome home by an adoring child
a grandfather's wise words, secret treats whenever he's around
a grandmother's wild stories
fact and fiction, tightly entwined
a slurring pulse, drunken on waves of fingertips
still dancing to the tunes of an ever-after-life
I love you. I love you. I love you.
thrives in heaven and
fuels hell's waves in it's shades of warmth
Gain and loss go hand in hand
only noticed, if one journeys through the roundtrip of odds
appreciate the balance
as one tiptoes through time
forsake the strive for heaven
and fear of hell
and embrace love, loss, and life as one.
