From Whence They Came
The thunder rolls in the distance
Flattening all before it
Lightning flashes the people
Violating their gaze
And running from the demons
They cannot escape themselves
Blinded by their glory
Molested by their creator
With minds made of clay
All similarly shaped
They're helpless and broken
Deprived of true faith
No will to act upon
No scars just open wounds
Slowly drifting away
To the dirt from whence they came
Flattening all before it
Lightning flashes the people
Violating their gaze
And running from the demons
They cannot escape themselves
Blinded by their glory
Molested by their creator
With minds made of clay
All similarly shaped
They're helpless and broken
Deprived of true faith
No will to act upon
No scars just open wounds
Slowly drifting away
To the dirt from whence they came
