First day on the trails

your eyes stare right through me
intense as could possibly be
as you stand with your gun
held casually at arm's length
across your thighs,
big hands seem to dwarf the stock
and barrel and I can't wait
to get you alone,
so lets get out of here -
away from the clutter of the
suburbs and out into the country,
your first home
I walk behind you on the paths
holding my own in my clunky new
hiking boots, just a bit chilled
and wearing your coat,
the wind tosses your hair across
your face but I can still see
the smile, the youthful shine
you tell me you are bringing me
to your favorite place
and I know it will soon be mine
my heart pounds so hard I can
hear its every beat, the sight
the smell of you floods my
body with desire and adrenaline
the sound of your voice
is my fuel and I'm walking,
waiting, wanting you so much
I just might ask you to stop
right here and strip the forest
colored clothes off of that
hot, lean body and take me
down on the trail
I know it's going to be
even better than the first time,
this time because you wanted me
enough to share your special place
