I can feel your warm smile
like the rays of the sun
shining on my face
warming every chamber
of my heart
I bring to you
my fears, shame and guilt
you listen
then lovingly
impart wise counsel
I am stronger
more self-assured
because you
took the time to listen
I am accepted
and relieved
safe in the bosom
of your compassion
listening to our hearts
beat in harmony
keeping time
with the rhythm
of our words
our lives
Not knowing
from great distance
you have hugged me
both naked and clothed
Feeling you warm
against me
to grab and smother you
in a giant sized bear-hug
is my fondest desire fulfilled

Gwendoline, my poems you chose to read are inspired because I needed to read again. In some sense I've lost my way a bit. Poens like this remind me twho I am. Not to say my others are not geuinely sincere...I am an honest poet but maybe I've becone a tad too complicated.
