Sacrifice
They know what I’ve done.
The great battle’s been won.
I leave behind one son.
At least one of us will live on.
This was my life,
The duty of a mother and wife.
They will -- not deprive.
Me of my sacrifice.
I am -- waiting.
Anticipating.
For the -- coming
Of the Death Dealer’s bringing.
The tear drops -- falling
To the cheek that is calling.
Lips are tightening
As my heart’s racing.
My breath -- shorter
As I feel colder.
The room grows darker.
I think I'm crossing-over.
I prayed to my Father
And been blessed by thy Mother.
As it nears closer
I know it’s really over.
The great battle’s been won.
I leave behind one son.
At least one of us will live on.
This was my life,
The duty of a mother and wife.
They will -- not deprive.
Me of my sacrifice.
I am -- waiting.
Anticipating.
For the -- coming
Of the Death Dealer’s bringing.
The tear drops -- falling
To the cheek that is calling.
Lips are tightening
As my heart’s racing.
My breath -- shorter
As I feel colder.
The room grows darker.
I think I'm crossing-over.
I prayed to my Father
And been blessed by thy Mother.
As it nears closer
I know it’s really over.
