Discretion's Hand

 
A romantic notion with no place
in lecture halls and seminars,
where we're told our minds
are filled with non-biodegradable
garbage,


chivalry is dismissed as out-dated.
We could break it down to gestures
and psychology, but the radiance
of a sunrise isn't examined under
microscopes.


I saw you extending your hand
quietly, without the fuss and flair
of a puddle-drenched cloak,
with a firm grip on the canons
of justice.





For Craic, who'll have to suffer the spotlight for a lil while...
