Heavy Hearts and Tired Eyes (Part 2)

I’ve warned my lovers to stay away from my mortal heart
To have them broken down in a thousand beautiful ways
I’ve warned my family to stay away from my mortal soul
To have them disappointed at their blood led so far astray

Who am I to say what’s right, Who am I to say what’s wrong
I’ve strayed so far from the light, I’ve never been that strong
Who am I to say what you should do, Who am I oh who am I
But a bitter soul, With a heavy heart, Open hands and tired eyes

Listen or don’t, My conscience is tortured a thousand times over
Heed my warnings or look the other way, My conscience isn’t the only victim
This war has taken all, But not all of us knows the pain we truly feel
Covered in denial and cheap liquor, We’re sinking and we’ll never right our ship

We’re all rats and scum and filthy traitors to the race we call our own
The human race is a violent excuse for peace on Earth
I wouldn’t trade this life for any other, I wouldn’t wish for peace
Only humans can rid this beautiful world of this disease called Life
