The brilliant light was shinning behind him
So that only the silhouette of his face was showing
Theres something about looking at the silhouette of someones face
That makes you see them in a new light

You can't see the wrinkles
Or the scars
The marks and imperfections are invisible

All you see is the outline
And it's beautiful
It's as if you're seeing someone's face for the first time

You neglect to see the scar above their cheek
Or the bruise under the jaw
