Little Girl
Little Girl,
I see so clearly now
That growing up is inevitable of course physically
But mentally it hits us at different times
Little Girl ,
It's the moment when you trade scrapes on your knees
That you neglect to care for
To scrapes on your heart
That pains you to the core
Little Girl,
With the attitude of a hero
But a heart so reckless
It refuses to catch the arrow
You get lost in the maze of your own life
Unable to remember your way out
Little Girl,
Be the brightest shinning diamond in a pit of coal
Be the biggest snowflake in the snowfall
Be whatever you choose to be
I see so clearly now
That growing up is inevitable of course physically
But mentally it hits us at different times
Little Girl ,
It's the moment when you trade scrapes on your knees
That you neglect to care for
To scrapes on your heart
That pains you to the core
Little Girl,
With the attitude of a hero
But a heart so reckless
It refuses to catch the arrow
You get lost in the maze of your own life
Unable to remember your way out
Little Girl,
Be the brightest shinning diamond in a pit of coal
Be the biggest snowflake in the snowfall
Be whatever you choose to be
